The spice grinder

Onions were cheap and plentiful
These were cheap, so we bought them weighed by the most modern means available
Cauliflower was expensive, but we bargained the price down until it was more reasonable.
The houses were bulit on 1997
Our host observed our antics with interest
He brought out his equipment...
and made a whisk, observed by his wife
To tie the whisk securely, he used this harness
The children gathered to do homework in the yard
The kids worked studiously and enthusiastically..
... and then played together. Thered scarf is the symbol of high academic achievement, used throughout China
We walked past the fields into the old town
Most, but not all, of the population have moved to the new town
Reusable parts were salvaged as often as possible
